Do you want Fake Plastic or REAL fish?
I came across SustainLane contributor Beth T's blog, Fake Plastic Fish, just over a month ago. I have been totally captivated by her quest to remove plastics from her life. She provides lots of information and discussion about ways to eliminate unnecessary plastic, reduce plastic waste and live responsibly with the rest of the plastic bits.
Beth has been documenting this journey in her blog for well over 9 months -- and the things she discovers, discusses and reveals are truly fascinating and inspiring.
By reading her blog, I was motivated to re-read the Alameda County Stop Waste Website (www.stopwaste.org) to learn more about what can go in the green bins -- just about every food scrap, cooked or raw, can go in there (I was only putting raw food scraps). I'm now trying to go sans plastic trash can liners since all wet stuff is now going into the compost bin.
Who knows - maybe I'll even start my own blog!
