I give 'em a little credit

. . . for trying. It's great to see an international clothing chain come out with affordable organic cotton clothing(even if it still costs twice as much as everything else in H&M). In the eco-fashion revolution, much of the selection for style hungry greenies is going to make you shell out the green. The organic cotton pants, tops, and sweaters in the H & M fall line are made in eastern Europe, so they are not going to reduce the carbon footprint of the fashion industry anytime soon. Another unfortunate fact about this fall line is that it's as frumpy as can be. The colors are dark and drab, a dull charcoal gray was the color of most of the items I saw. The colors chosen seemed to feed into the negative stereotype that earth friendly clothing is frumpy. Little details were left to be desired, like pockets sewn down to the jacket. On a positive note, the sweatshirts were soft as can be which reminds me why organic cotton is wonderful.
