I make my own beer and have tried many micro-brews. Fat Tire is hands-down one of the best on the market. Whenever I need new bottles for my home brewing, I buy Fat Tire, drink the beer and re-use the bottles. It tastes the best after a long hot, dry and dusty mountain bike ride.

The New Belgium beers are amazing! Fat Tire tastes great but I think it falls short of its hype. Fat Tire is one of the few flavors of New Belgium beers that can now be found in most liquor stores or even supermarkets around the country, but I prefer some of the flavors that are harder to find. In Boulder, Colorado you can find all of the flavors pretty much everywhere since New Belgium brews in Fort Collins, Colorado. If you can find some of the other flavors in one of those eclectic liquor stores or ?Trader Joe's? then take my advice and sample them. My favorites are the summer and winter seasonal's: Skinny Dip and 2 Below. Blue Paddle is their pilsner and is also delicious. So go search for these beers or come to Colorado. I don't know anything about how environmentally friendly New Belgium beer is, I have heard good things, but I can tell you that New Belgium has spoiled my taste buds. I haven't had a Coors in months.
love this stuff! so glad we moved to Colorado, now we can get it almost anywhere and on draft!

I live on the East coast, so it is hard to come by Fat Tire, but it is by far my favourite beer. I order it online whenever I have the desire.
It is a great Amber Ale that is not too watery nor too strong. For me, it is just right in color, taste and smell.
Note that I do not like domestic beers except PBR.
I also love that the New Belgium brewery is wind powered.
I haven't always been a beer drinker -- watery pilsners and lagers and super hoppy beers always put me off. Then, I discovered brown ales. Fat Tire has a bit more of a bite than something like Newcastle, but it's still quite a good beer. I always prefer draft Fat Tire over bottle -- it tastes a bit sweeter and more mellow off the tap.

I have already reviewed the New Belgium Brewery, so i will skip out on that right now and just review this awesome beer. And I say awesome because this beer is definitely awesome. It has a delicious, somewhat malty, clearly Belgian influenced flavor that puts it near the top of my favorite American Brews list. If you don't like beer, give this one a try - i think it will make a convert out of you. It is easy to drink and smooth - although ti is a bit filling. If you drink a lot of beer, you have probably tried this one already? If you haven't, give it a try, I promise you also will be pleasantly surprised.
