Plow & Hearth's Fatwood Fire Starter comes in a 12 lb bag or 10, 25 and 35 lb boxes. They also sell an attractive Fatwood bucket in either copper or brass for storing Fatwood kindling by the hearth. P&H received the Green Cross seal of approval for their sustainably harvested, pine stump fire starter. The removal and processing of the stumps into kindling is done without destroy a living tree or endangered species, without disturbing the soil and humus content of the woodlands, and without the use of chemicals. Because Fatwood has an abundance of resin, there is no need for the kindling to be soaked in kerosene; it's 100% natural. It typically takes only a couple sticks of Fatwood kindling to light a fire.
