"The ripple effect of the housing crisis is sending untold tons of valuable goods and materials to landfills. Opportunities abound for eco entrepreneurs." Max Gladwell

This is a very sad "story of stuff" happening in urban communities around southern California every day. I was stunned to learn from the Max Gladwel article that some people, more than you'd ever imagine, whose homes are in foreclosure, are literally driving away from their suburban houses will little more than the clothes they wear and what they can fit in their car. Watch the video as workers toss everything, absolutely everything left behind in a dump truck to haul straight to the landfill. Here is an opportunity for green ecopreneurs to find creative ways to recycle abandoned belongings, large and small, and keep them out of the waste stream.
