This powder gets my dishes cleaner than Cascade ever did. And, best of all, it's non-toxic. That's really important if there is children in the house because automatic dishwashing detergents are usually the most poisonous cleaners in one's home. They also have a liquid version of the automatic detergent but it doesn't work as well, leaving tea stains on the cups. Stick with the powder----it's awesome.

this stuff isn't exactly cheap. i've given it a second chance. it does leave my dishes clear of detergent smells but not free of residues (i rinse before it goes in the washer). i think i'm moving onto another eco-friendly product.

Not a lot of it, but some. For some reason, after we wash with this dishwashing powder in our dishwasher, our bowls and glasses have powder stuck to them. And I didn't notice right away, so I ended up eating it. Possibly for more than a couple of days. Let's just say I will not buy this again.
On the other hand, it didn't make me sick, so it at least lives up to its claim to not be harmful to humans.

I rarely get excited over a cleaning product but Seventh Generation dish detergent is a huge winner. I love the dye-free and color-free formula and it is so mild for hands. I will never go back to regular dish liquid.

After reading a disheartening story on parabens, tonight I tried washing my dishes with the Seventh Generation dishwashing detergent. When the dishes were done, I found dishes that were cleaner than I ever saw with Cascade and scent free. I would definitely buy this product again.

I love how this product has no fragrance or dyes, but still gets my dishes clean. I have used other types and this product works the best while keeping my conscience clear.

Seventh generation has done a great job with it's dish soap. It does a great job cleaning dishes, it doesn't have any nasty perfumes or dyes and is so safe I can use the dish water to water my plants.

this stuff has a very pleasant fragrance, suds well, does a great job cutting grease and cleaning, and is economical. the packaging is a bit too boring, too much white on the bottle. . .a more Heavenly feeling, ie more "in space" feeling would be good for marketing. . .something more space age. . .

I love 7th Gen products but I'm pretty disappointed with the dry dishwashing detergent. It sticks to the glasses a lot and really gets crusted on there. Guess I'll go back to liquids.

You have to use the powder version instead of the liquid version. I had the same problem with the liquid but the powder works like a charm! more »
