trial and error in gardening - commiseration!

This is a story about Amy's first garden, which spoke to me as a gardener very well. It lets you know you're not alone - we've all killed a rose bush, planted a plant hoping to please a creature (Amy plants catnip for her kitties), dug things up on accident or too soon, bought EVERYTHING from the nursery without a thought of where to put it (like, every weekend) and have gone to the chiropractor for a post-gardening weekend adjustment. The "greenness" of the book comes from Amy's desire to keep things organic, local, etc. and the trials and glories that come with that as a gardener.

The book doesn't offer deep scientific insights, but it doesn't claim to, and is a great easy read. If you're the only gardener in your family or on your block, or if you are just obsessed with gardening and can't get enough of talking or reading about it, this is a good book
