Making gasoline from air and water?
I'm not so sure about this new technology, being developed out of Los Alamos. (http://consciouschoice.com/2008/04/greenscene0804.html). The chemistry seems simple enough, but frightening when you think that we'd be using up our most precious resources, clean water and air, for fuel. Are these resources infinite? I don't agree, and hope that our appetite for cars and planes and such will diminish, in favor of developing better options for alternative fuels and energies, not just using what we have to make more gasoline and keep gas-powered cars on the road. Years ago I read about a car in Europe being designed to run on either air or water, and it took those ingredients and produced only clean air and water vapor in return, now that I find much better than this gasoline option. If small research projects such as these could get they funding they need, we would have so many more sustainable options.
