Make your voice heard. Exercise your right to vote this November and follow these common sense tips to avoid any last-minute Election Day hassles:
1. Register to vote and find your polling place location.
2. Get a voting buddy; someone to offer support and hold you accountable. And vice versa.
3. Be familiar with candidates, ballot measures and initiatives. Use your buddy -- divide and conquer.
4. Choose a specific time of day to vote. Put it in your calendar.
5. Secure your ride, babysitter, or any other support staff.
6. Eat something. Don’t arrive at the polls feeling weak and cranky.
7. Bring some reading or an iPod in case there’s a wait.
8. Slap on an “I Voted” sticker, and strut your stuff!
