Glide: feed the homeless and fill your heart

I give to the Glide Foundation, which has like 96 programs, and believe me, it all comes back. Reverend Cecil Williams and his wife poet laureate/ executive director Janice Mirikatani have done San Francisco, the Bay Area, and the World a whole lot of good. Singlehandedly, they have reduced crime in San Francisco -- now the Tenderloin doesn't have nearly the edge it once did.

Glide feeds anyone who needs a meal 3 times a day every day of the year. I also happen to sing in the Glide ensemble, which is a lot of fun. Glide was recently featured in the Will Smith film, Pursuit of Happyness, and the ensemble was on Conan O'Brien last night (May 2, 2007). Not bad for a choir. :) But hand it to Cecil and Janice, who live what they believe. Give to Glide. I can assure that you're money doesn't get wasted, like in some bureaucratic organizations, but is directed to those who need it the most. Glide also has inspiring music, you should check it out some Sunday: 9am and 11am.
