got GOOD?
man, i LOVE this magazine. it is gorgeous, colorful, inspiring. every month tackles a different issue: travel, education, eating, etc, only it ditches the soapbox behind, instead opting for sexy and lucid graphics, and great tidbits about just about everything. i buy this mag by the bunches and hand them out to friends. i subscribe to GOOD, and feel great knowing 100% of my subscription goes towards supporting the charity of my choice, SLOW FOOD.
if you favorite shop doesn't carry it, ask them why not? subscribe now; you'll feel GREAT.

Good is great
I got a direct mail advert for this magazine, and was annoyed at first, as I'm trying to stop all junk mail. But curiosity lead me to open it and find out more about this endeavor. I don't really need another magazine, who has time to read them? But this is a great idea that deserves some attention. Good's founders wanted to create a magazine for social activism and a different business model, therefore 100% of the subscription revenue is donated to charity - you choice from their selection of 12. Clearly they have other revenue from the advertisements, so it appears to be a win-win situation. I like their Transparency graphic on current data, and features cover the gamut from health, politics, environment, culture, mobility, education, business and living. The stories are intriguing enough, I will definitely be back to read more from their website. Also they have videos on youtube, worth checking out. I think this would make a nice gift for a mere $20 for 6 issues, and it's all donated to charity.
