GoodSearch - a search engine that donates 50% of revenue to charities and schools users designate.
Brother and sister Ken and JJ Ramberg, co-founders of GoodSearch, launched in 2005, developed a search engine powered by Yahoo that let's users search as they will on any other search engine, except that 50% of the monies received from advertisers goes to charities designated by GoodSearch users.
It's a quick click to add GoodSearch to your Internet Explorer or Firefox toolbar. You can add your own charity, if they don't already have it listed, and they make it easy to to tell all your friends about GoodSearch. Merchandise from their GoodShop is another way to spread the word. They also have a page that links to retailers like eBay, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, half.com, Old Navy, Travelocity...that donate a percentage of your purchase to your charity of choice. It's Good.
