Goodwill in Good Graces with Budget-Minded Fashionistas

During the first quarter of this year, Goodwill stores' sales increase 7.1 % over last years figures. This is due in part to Goodwill strategies to change their image, do a better job of merchandising, and marketing and advertising to a broader consumer base. During difficult economic times... fashionistas, rich or poor can find buried trinkets and create a wardrobe of designer brand clothing, shoes and handbags at a fraction of the price. Read more.

The Fashion of Goodwill fashion shows, like this year's "Under Paris Skies" runway show and online auction, as well as having a presence on social networking sites like Twitter, promotes stylish fashions and special offerings to Goodwill's growing clientele. While consumers save money and revenue continue to increase, 84% of Goodwill's revenue is for disabled programs and job training.
