Best local garden store

Grand Street opened a few years ago, and they now have a thriving business in West Ukrainian Village. They have a large yard full of all the standards you might find elsewhere, but also the more unique and specialty plants you won't find at your big box retailer. You may pay more for these plants, but you are supporting a local business, with a very friendly and helpful staff. GS also offers seminars on various gardening topics. You can find nearly everything your organic garden might need, plants for sun, shade, groundovers, trees, shrubs, flowers, mulches, compost, grasses, fountains and birdbaths, to name a few. I can find the most unusual plants here, and great pots, such as the eco-pot which is biodegradable. There is also a good garden book section, with nice gift options in the bath and body and stationary section.
