I went to my first Green Drinks last week -- Varnish got very crowded very fast. People tend to stand in bottle necks and the acoustics make it difficult to really hear conversation. I met several nice people and I'll try to get back to Green Drinks earlier next time.

Green Drinks is a great way to mingle with others from all walks of green. Now in over 200 cities worldwide, Green Drinks is becoming something of an organizing force unto itself. And you never know who you're going to meet at one -- I've met investors, CEOs, artists, government workers, lawyers, you name it. I've made some good friends and wonderful business connections at Green Drinks. What better way to find out what's up than to get together with like-minded folks, whether light green, dark green or maybe neither, and discuss all of the new innovations, the new ideas, general trends, particular business ideas, personal and professional connections and synchronicities, all over a beer or maybe something green? Definitely check out Green Drinks! And it's cool to watch the Green Drinks crowd becoming ever more informed and in touch with all things green, as the green economy grows nationwide, and as green no longer has such gripping environmental treehugger-esque connotation.
