Fine vegetarian dining.
Address map Building A, Fort MasonI went to Greens a couple of months ago for lunch. My tofu sandwich was healthy, but essentially flavorless.
Will I go back to Greens? I might. But only because it's quick food and not fried food.

This restaurant has amazing vegetarian food in a beautiful setting. The restaurant is located in Fort Mason, which is right on the bay. One of the restaurant's walls is a floor to ceiling window, which overlooks a marina and has a direct view of the Golden Gate Bridge. If you can't snag a window table, you'll still be able to marvel in the view. The restaurant also has this unique section of a redwood tree in the dining area that's been carved into a table and chairs, which is another great place to sit. What I really like about the food is that a lot of it is locally sourced, seasonal, and exceptionally delicious. The dishes never make you fell like you're missing meat. Like the other reviewers said, it can be expensive, especially for dinner. My advice is to go for lunch. The last time I ate there, lunch entrees averaged $12.00.
