Delicious and Green
The only thing not incredibly awesome about this nut butter is that it is distinctly green. If you can get past the color, it is delicious (a little sticky, keep a glass of milk handy) and packed full of protein. I put it on toast for breakfast in the morning or as a snack.

Tastes great...not "psychedelic"
Hemp nut butter is a great tasting alternative to peanut butter that contains much more for the practicing vegetarian or vegan than that common staple of our youth. Packed with amino acids, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and protein similar in makeup to animal protein, hemp nut butter is nutritious, but definitely not psychedelic. Hemp products are a relative of the marijuana plant, but are low in THC (the psychedelic compound in illegal marijuana) and are stringently monitored by the hemp industry. Hemp products, and Manitoba Harvest, were well represented at the recent Green Fest in Chicago where many people were shown the real benefits of hemp products and encouraged to investigate the story behind this "hidden gem" of the green foods movement.

Hemp Butter tastes good!
I had never tried hemp butter before today, but was pleasantly pleased to sample the hemp seed nut butter on cinnamon raisin organic bread. It would have been nice to have a sample on hemp bread, in order to make it that much more of a hemp experience, but nevertheless it was delicious!

Amazing stuff!!!
The Hemp Nut Butter is close enough to peanut butter for me; still takes some getting used to, but overall it tastes very good. Not to mention that it's higher in protein and other essentials that I wasn't aware of.
I'm getting back into shape and an alternative protein powder to what I currently use that is all-natural and more beneficial is going to help out greatly.
Thanks Manitoba Harvest!!!

Cousin of peanut butter
Hemp butter is like a second cousin once removed of peanut butter. Similar consistency and tasty, too. But not ready to try it with jelly just yet!

Hemp seed butter
For a butter, it's very soft and oily. The texture wasn't very pleasant, but the taste was good. It felt slimey, and tasted like peanut butter a little bit with some spice. It left an aftertaste for about 10 minutes.

Hemp seed Nut Butter
The Manitoba Harvest Nut Butter is plain old delicious. No added anything, it is just ground up hemp seeds, with no sugar or salt added. It has a rich, velvety, earthy flavor that sets it apart from many other nut butters that have sugar or salt (or "other" things added. Its flavor is quite unique and comes closest to good almond butter, but is a more complex, layered flavor that develops on the tongue over time. As a nut butter is more on the tart side, therefore good as a savory stand alone with a good slice of real bread.

Soy and whey alternatives
The hemp protein powder with fiber and the hemp seed nut butter, as well as the hemp seed oil are great nutritional alternatives or additions. I began using the hemp protein powder when I wanted to add protein and fiber to my diet and did not want to use soy or whey or rice. If one has never tried hemp food products before, it might be helpful to know that the taste requires some getting used to, as it is very distinctive, nutty and a bit grassy, maybe. Suggestions for making the protein powder palatable in a shake include using the oil and water and berries as a base. Someone who is creative and enjoys cooking with recipes will find helpful suggestions for incorporating hemp protein powder and oil in different ways. The nut butter does not need any extra help. It tastes good on bread, with or without jam.
