Dr. Tima's Sugar Free Root Beer Is the Best I've Ever Had!
I've started to notice for a few months now that I get these headaches on the left side of my head whenever I eat or drink anything with white, processed sugar in it. Being summer, season of root beer and bbqs, I was a bit bummed out. My wife found this new brand of soda in a local corner market (Berkeley Natural Grocery on Gilman), and it is sweetened with honey. It's also made with an old style root beer recipe, including vanilla, sweet birch, and anice, among other tasty stuff. If you're a lover of root beer, you'd really like this one with its complex flavor mix. The soda, or pop as some of my friends back east would say, gets its flavor from great natural ingredients, and not corn syrup, processed white sugar and fake flavorings. It's a real treat. If you happen to be watching your sugar intake, it's a great substitute for the junk soda and juices all around during the summer. I've found that the honey sweetener doesn't give me headaches, and honey in general breaks down a bit slower in the body than processed white sugar, so your glucose levels don't skyrocket the same as swallowing down a cold sugar sweetened drink. Bring a 6-pack to your next pot luck or picnic, you'll find that people will want to know where you got it.
