Segway - great from of transport!

We invested in two Segway Human Transporters in the Spring 2006. We LOVE them! They are great to scoot around town on. Having taken a major spill on mine (all my fault, I must add!) - we now are careful to wear helmets when we glide ("glide" is the Seg term for "ride"). We save on gas of course, but another thing we love about our Segs is the SMILES they cause! Every time we are out people smile at us. Segways are a great way to meet the people in your town! People will stop raking leaves to come over and ask Segway questions!

Where we live (DC metro area) you can take Segways on the metro system during non-rush hour. There is no extra charge for bringing it on the train. People who ues the device sfor mobility can get a special pass to be able to ride it on the metro at any time.

How far can you go on a charge? - around 20 miles
