"Hungry Planet" is revealing
I first encountered "Hungry Planet" as a big installation at Copia while doing a Napa wine country tour with friends. We spent about an hour. The photos and the captions tell a remarkable, rich and revealing story of food availability and scarcity around the world. The US, Japanese and Western European families had piles of packaged foods. The writers go into forces beyond family control that influence their food decisions -- such as conflict and globalization.
This book should change the way you eat -- it's a real eye opener.
