The honest to god swear on my life truth!
actually in reality, while there are a few good points to the center bistro, mostly it fails to meet the standards of excellence and goodness that TRULY organic and nourishing restaurants provide. First of all, the food is not 99.99% organic, but 70 at best. Sometimes that number fluctuates as low as 40%. But really, once a non organic food item is mixed with an organic one, it is no longer organic. Whats up with charging people ORGANIC PRICES when its NOT?
Anyways, the center bistro also has a filthy dishroom, and most of the employees rarely wash their hands. The produce is never cleaned, which means, thats right, your big yummy salad being sold to you as fresh & clean and organic is actually just souping around in all its field squirms .
Pay attention to whether or not the kitchen is clean before you get seated! Youll be able to tell, since its all on display for everyone to see!!! And watch out for the smoothies! Slimy moldy non organic berries and mucky frozen stuffs are the contents of these 6.50 a pop questionable treats.
How about that for honesty and integrity?
As a earth warrior, which this site is dedicated to networking, the energy use of "the center" alone is exorbitant, there are no checks on water use, and the waste produced by the center bistro is as staggering as any conventional. Its pretty disappointing considering they have the option to recycle and are just to lazy to dispose of recyclable materials in the correct containers! Shame on the center for marketing itself as an eco concious restaurant and BEING in realtime totally contradictory...

Tempe, Arizona's new Organic Bistro is Simply awesome!
My culinary utopia has arrived in Tempe, Arizona. They call it The Center Bistro and to all my fellow hardcore Organic Lovers, here, my friends, is your mecca! Let us bow our heads and kiss Chef Damon Brasch’s little feet for he has done it again, people. From the healthy and centrally- located, “That’s a Wrap”, to the vegan “Green” to the new Organic café, “The Center Bistro”, this man knows how to give the health-conscious what they want!
I’m so glad we are finally getting Organic Choices here in AZ. I let my lovely, waiter, Konstantin talk me into the Asian Peanut Salad ($10). I was teetering between that and the Artichoke Caesar Salad ($10). I had a short wait for my meal to arrive, so I sipped the yummy, organic strawberry lemonade that was definitely quenching my thirst. I gently scolded myself for being boring and not trying the organic beers or wines on the menu, but it was a warm day and I was dehydrated and it was only lunch time.
You don’t have to worry about what’s on the menu because every choice is in keeping with your Organic-eating values & so you finally get to choose your meal simply by what your taste buds are calling for rather than settling for the closest thing to organic. It’s bliss!
My meal, as I had been warned, had a bit of a spicy kick to it. That was from the absolutely delectable peanut ginger glaze. The salad itself was tossed in their equally as palatable mango honey vinaigrette. I added chicken for additional ($4) which was free range & organic. (woohoo!). The only meat that’s not organic, apparently, is the Salmon. Since it's wild, it's on the low mercury list, which should make you happy.
The decor is "Green" and the cuisine is, to quote the menu dessert list, "To Live For!". If you're visiting AZ anytime soon, make this a stop on your tourism list. If you live here with me, Run, don't walk to this place for a pesticide-free meal. mmm... mmmm!
