It is honestly amazing how well this thing works
I just came across this product at the Green Festival on Saturday, and after seeing first hand what it can do (I was treated to a demonstration and then a tasting) I bought four of them. These things are amazing. I love coffee, but I am super sensitive to caffeine, so I usually only drink half a cup at a time. Even though I use a permanent filter in my drip machine, I always felt super wasteful using so many coffee grounds for just a half cup of coffee. Not to mention the electricity needed to power the machine. Same thing goes for my French press – I don’t want to have to clean this huge press (and waste all that water) for half a cup of coffee (and do it several times a day at that).
This product is EXACTLY what I need. You put in WAY fewer grounds because the grounds stay in the cup just like in a French press, and you don’t have to clean a whole French press, just this tiny little straw! It really is one of those post-it “why didn’t I think of this first” type inventions. I have seen similar things for tea, but this is the ONLY one I have ever found that works with coffee grounds. I recommend this product for everyone who drinks coffee (P.S. – it makes a GREAT holiday gift).

I Gave Away My Coffee Maker!
Finally I can make my favorite coffee outside my home effortlessly. It's perfect to use in in my travel mug. I recently used it while traveling on a plane, then in my hotel and to my office.(Everyone in my office wants one!) Love the ergonomic design so I don't have tilt my travel mug and risk staining my clothes. Also love . . . No more teeth stains for me! I bought one for everyone in my family so we can all have make our coffee the way we like. Great for the environment, No coffee maker, filters, electricity and wasted coffee. I also tried the Health Tea Wand for tea and it works great!

This looks like a refined version of a bombilla, the filtering straw used to drink yerba mate (an Argentine tea). I am also sensitive to caffeine so maybe I'll try a little coarse grind coffee with my bombilla! more »

Ilana - that is EXACTLY what it is. The same company has a glass version of that bombilla (I didn't know what it was called) meant for loose leaf teas, and then a refined version for things like coffee (although now that... more »
