A Jen Boot for Jenn

I love the Jen Boot. Sadly, the materials wear unevenly -- the back seam above the heel has a hole on both shoes and you can see the white material under (my boyfriend calls them my "cardboard" shoes).

I would love to just get them resoled but the wear makes that impossible. After 2 years, I have given up and ordered a new pair.

I forgot how inconsistent sizing can be with Vegetarian shoes. I usually wear a 40 and have had their athletic and dress shoes fit perfectly at that size.

Without first consulting my order history or my old pair of boots, I ordered a pair in size 40. I could not even get my toes inside the shoe. I ordered a size 41 -- I can get my foot in, it's snug but the ankle is so tightly sized that the last 1/2" stays unzipped.

My old boots prove to be a size 42 -- with an insert to make them fit more snugly and reduce the wear that the "Vegetarian Shoes" label was causing to the bottom of my heel.

These shoes run small! If you wear 9-9.5, get Size 42. And some shoe inserts. But they're darned cute and waterproof for those of us who live in rainy winter places.

I recommend buying it on VeganEssentials ($100) instead of 60 pounds sterling plus shipping (that'll end up costing you like $170).
