I LOve Caputo's

and for the very first time I had a bad experience;

I purchased half a pound of smoked salmon at only $5.99; a price too good to be true; it was; it reeked; the Ket would not eat it; so what to do?

This will not keep me from returning or from praising this attractive freindly store;

Nik in Dekalb; yes, quite a distance away; whenever near... we stop and say HELLO at Caputo's!

Great produce selection!

I'm sad that I live in Chicago now and can't go to the Joe Caputo & Son's in Palatine anymore. They had a really great produce selection with prices that couldn't be beat! I also loved the variety in ethnic foods- you could probably find something from every country in their aisles!! Support this place before you go to Jewel or Dominick's- they have a much higher quality!

My New Favorite Grocery Store!

This store is as large as Dominick's or Jewel, but is so much better! First of all, it's family owned so you're supporting a small business of sorts. Second of all, the selection is awesome. The produce is amazing. (There were four different types of eggplant when I went, as well as FRESH olives, fresh figs, and fresh wheatgrass.) They also have a whole lot of natural foods. I plan on coming here again and again.
