Juan Pablo Segundo Quilting Cooperative
This Honduran cooperative makes quilts, tablecloths, placemats, and baby clothing that feature traditional Honduran themes. It's on my list to check out the next time I need a baby gift or a wedding present.

Wonderful products and a good cause
My husband and I just returned from Honduras, where I bought seven items from this cooperative. While my husband was rafting down the river, I rode across the river on the zip line to visit the cooperative and meet some of the women. They put a lot of care and creative energy into their sewing -- and the gorgeous quilts and cheery table runners show it. This project is sustainable in MANY ways, because the cooperative uses income, not only to sustain their families who might otherwise not have enough food, clothing or medicine, AND uses a portion to support community projects, like building a secondary school, reforesting steep hillsides, and arranging garbage collection for their remote mountain community. Their website shows only a few designs, but there are quilts with seasonal designs, ocean/seaside themes, animals, birds, butterflies, etc. Good craftwork, design, and value.
