Pseudoscience quackery at its best
This stuff is peddled to people who don't have a good understanding of how water -- and chemistry -- really works. Spend your money planting a tree or saving to buy a hybrid car; don't fall for this snake oil. You'll never find anything about ionized water in a medical nutrition reference, simply because there's never been any evidence that it works (try asking whether ionized water is even a meaningful term to a chemist some time). And lastly, always rely on observable, statistical evidence -- not on anecdotes or personal stories.
If you want to know exactly why this is a scam, just google "ionized water" and click on the first result.

Clean your temple!
i was introduced to "kangensui" (japanese for ionized water) last year. my friend gave 30 liters to try over a weeks time. ionization reduces acid in the water and makes it more alkaline (a good thing for your body). ingestion of ionized alkaline water acts to detox your body (internal organs, in particular) of harmful agents.
the company has been certified by the japanese government ministry of health as manufacturing a honest and effective system of water purification. currently, many hospitals and retirement homes have this system hard-plumbed into the entire structures. the double benefit of this system is that as the ionized alkaline water is produced, the residual acidic water is piped into another holding tank to be used in cleaning (laundry, dishes, etc.) as acidic water will clean without harmful detergents. the small home system i have also produces residual acidic water i keep in a separate bottle to use a cleaner.
as to my physical well being, i have more energy and rely less on caffeine to keep going during the day. my skin and my eyes are clearer. cooking with this water makes all thing taste better (beverages, soups, making rice & pasta)....the unit i have is actually portable so i can take it with me and make ionized water wherever i go. by the way, i have an 18-year old arthritic cat whose health has improved by drinking this water.
in closing, water is the singular most important component one can put into one's body..may it be the best water it can be to keep one vital and healthy!
