Center for Yoga & Health

I found the Kripalu catalog outside my yoga class today. They are located in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Founded in 1966, their mission is to “teach the art and science of yoga to produce thriving and health in individuals and society.” They offer classes, workshops, training, retreats, healing arts spa services, hiking, and so much more. They are also sustainable, recycling, using biofuel and wind energy credits.
You can visit for a few days, week or semester if so inclined. They have various accommodations to fit your budget, and meals are included. In the Kripalu Kitchen, their buffet features local, all-natural, primarily vegetarian with organic fish and poultry, vegan and macrobiotic options. They have something for everyone all under one roof, or within a short walk. You can enjoy a sauna, reiki or Thai massage for example in the Healing Arts Spa, where they offer a “quality selection of services and treatments that nurture integrated health by addressing our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs for restoration and balance.” Please see their website for a full listing of all they have to offer. I cannot wait to schedule a retreat, as it sounds wonderful. I look forward to reviews from anyone that has visited Kripalu. It's also non-profit.
