Lara bars are definitely at the top of my list for nutritional bars or meal replacements -- they are raw, vegan and totally delicious. They offer a lot of flavors and none of the bars are sickly sweet like Luna or Clif bars often are. My favorites are Cashew Cookie, Cherry Pie, Pecan Pie, Banana Cookie, Jocolat Mint, Jocolat Orange, and Jocolat -- the ingredients are simple -- you could even make them yourself if you have dates, cashews, almonds and a food processor.

I have celiac disease so eating on the go is very hard for me. Most portable, take-it-with-you foods contain some form of gluten and many of the ones that are gluten-free do not taste good. So when I have a crazy day without time for a sit down lunch Larabars are my answer. I no longer have to worry about going a whole day without eating. I keep one in my purse at all times and they are sturdy enough to not fall to pieces from all the jostling. Larabars taste good enough that I would choose them even if I didn't have celiac disease. I especially like the banana cookie and apple pie flavors.

Larabars are great portable snacks for raw foodies, vegans, vegetarians, or anyone who wants a whole food alternative to maintream energy bars. Most have three or four ingredients, all of which you'll recognize. They taste great, although I like some (ginger, apple) flavors better than others (cherry, cashew). There is something for everyone. The portion size is a little small, but they make a great pre- or post-gym snack.

Many great flavors. Pretty much just fruit and nuts and nothing else. Costco has a three flavor pack with 18 or so bars at a very reasonable price. YUM!!!
