Nature Child & The Eighth Intelligence

There are many wonderful reviews online about this incredible must-read book for parents guardians, counselors, mentors, and educators, so I will be brief. I promise you, this book will be a tipping-point in your life that will return you to your first love of nature through play, exploration and discovery. You will change your thinking about how you are living your own life, raising or teaching kids. I couldn't put it down, and I can't stop thinking about how we, our society, has been like the proverbial frog boiled slowly...for the most part, our culture, our education system, has disconnected from the natural world. Louv's book is a tool to reunite us with the flora and fauna around us, experiences that stimulate true creativity and are the building blocks of intelligence. For our children to care about our planet, they need more than textbooks, videos, computers and classrooms. They need the outdoor arena to develop their 8th sense - the ability to connect to their natural world.
