Reviewer, Ken O. and I must have very different body chemistry because this deodorant was an absolute BUST for me.
When did I find out that it did not work? On my way to a job interview while overdressed in interview attire in 100 degree heat with no A/C in my vehicle. As I cursed Nature's Gate, I chided myself for trying something new for such an important meeting. I was afraid to create wind by moving too quickly for fear my funky "secret" (pun intended) would be out.
Unbelievably disappointing for me. The only reason it got 2 stars is because 1) It smells absolutely delicious, 2) Like it's claims, it is definitely residue-free, 3)Paraben- & aluminum-free, 4) 70% organic, 5) vegan/cruelty-free.
All those goodies, however, do not make up for the fact that I spent $5.49 (at Whole Foods) for a product that does not work.
Recommended for Light sweat-ers and generally unstinky people who just want pretty-smelling armpits (um...for like the first minute or so, anyway).

I've never heard of Nature's Gate or their Organics line but found it at Berkeley Bowl recently. Decided to try out a non-aluminum, paraben-free deodorant and hadn't found any until that fateful day. It's going well and I really like the lavender aroma of this deodorant.
I'm not sure if it lasts longer than the typical titanium/aluminum/etc stuff and would rather not use anything at all, but this is probably the best I'll get. It's well worth the $6 to avoid pasting toxics on my skin every morning. Seems to work, smells great!

8/21/07 Update- I've found out, when I started to pay attention, that this deo doesn't work for a long time and you have to keep applying it or not care. Let's hope the product improves? (minus one star; sorry Tammi!)
