I went here a couple of months ago, but here's what I remember: The decor was very pleasant - I felt like I was in the dinner scene of Apocalypse Now. If I remember correctly, the wait staff was dressed a little goofy. The food wasn't very memorable, except for the coconut lobster soup which was exceptional. And no one in my party wanted to go upstairs to the lounge/club after dinner.

OK, i went to this restaurant with some family friends of mine, and it was honestly the best restaurant I have been to yet in the San Francisco area. I was astounded. That French influenced Vietnamese thing that they have going on is SO tasty. I recommend the tom yum soup.
The decor is exactly like the set of Apocalypse Now the directors cut when the entire boat stays at a French families villa and shares a meal with the family. I kept wanting to look over my shoulder for VC.
Also, the staff was very friendly, and i love that they source organic and locally when they can. I definitely recommend this place!

Yum! This restaurant was well worth the chunk of change it costs. All of the food was superb, from the appetizers of scallop pot stickers to the stuffed tofu and sturgeon lettuce wraps...I was in colonial Vietnamese heaven. Definitely more rich and french-influenced than traditional Vietnamese fare, but the flavors were great and very true to the best parts of Vietnamese cuisine- cilantro, ginger and chilies!
The only downfall was the mixed drinks, which were weak and much less flavorful than their descriptions would have you believe- we had the Zen Iced Tea and the Mango Mai Tai and were not impressed with either.
The drinks were, to their credit, very nice to look at. Ambiance and presentation were wonderful here. This place has the feel that you get from watching "South Pacific" and the palms out front, open patio and large ceiling fans gave the hidden building an air of colonial majesty that makes a two and a half hour dinner pass by like the breeze.
