Learn to Make Sun Tea

Use solar energy to slow-brew your favorite tea.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 Gallon or 1 Gallon Clear Glass Jar with Lid
  • 8 or 16 Tea Bags Filled with your Favorite Tea or Tea Blend
  • A Sun-lit Location

Instructions

Step 1:Fill a half-gallon or one gallon jar to the top with fresh water.

Step 2: Add 8 (half gal.) or 16 tea bags; secure lid.

Step 3: Place in a sunny location and steep for approximately three (3) hours.

Step 4: Pour your freshly brewed Sun Tea over ice. Add a twist of lemon, sugar or flavored simple syrup, agave syrup or honey to taste.

Step 5: Refrigerate remaining tea to enjoy the next day.
