Their Earthwise jewelry series uses gold and platinum “processed from reclaimed sources in an environmentally sensitive manner.” By utilizing recycled metal in their jewelry, they are helping to reduce destructive mining. The diamonds are certified of Canadian origin. The owners, of this 3rd generation business, are long-time advocates for both human rights and environmental issues. Their website lists more than a dozen charitable organizations they have supported. In 2004 they founded The Jewelers' Burma Relief Project, which “works in partnership with the Foundation for the People of Burma and Planet Care to provide humanitarian aid to Burmese people of all ethnic backgrounds and religious beliefs.”
