Really Good Liquid Castile Soap - How I Use Citric Acid

This year I switched to a natural liquid soap made by mabel laboratories, but I think the brand name is Mabel's Miracles. The soap is really beautiful and not water thin like other castiles I have bought in the past. They sell a fairly thick soap so I do not feel like I am paying to have water shipped to me. I own four homes and saving money is really key right now. I use it in my laundry and for everything I do. When I use it in the dishwasher I do have to put citric acid in to ensure no alkaline film-they are not kidding when they say to use citric. The citric does shine my glass ware. It was from Mabel Laboratories I learned I can run my dishwasher empty once a year with a cup of citric acid to clean off all soap residue. That works like a charm! I found the citric power stays dissolved in distilled water and so I use it in a spray bottle for my windows and anything I would have used smelly vinegar for. If you need that recipe I use a few teaspoons of citric shine powder for every 8 ounces of distilled water. I heat it up in the microwave to ensure it is dissolved. (Powdered basic citric acid is fine-but granular does not stay dissolved and crystalizes in my spray bottle.)

Liquid Castile Natural Soap - Prefer Mabels Miracles

This is the only soap I have found that is not watery, it is thick and has a pearl luster. I use it as a body wash as well as in my laundry. My skin reactions to commerical products went totally away. For this reason I also started buying Mabel's products for dogs. Now my dog loves it too! People say he smells "attractive" and ask what I use. I have read real soap has a natural sexy smell-and I must say it does.

A Must Have

Just wanted to share my experience with this product. I recently placed my 2nd order for Mabel's Miracle castile soap. This soap is truly amazing it fulfills all my cleaning needs. Who would of thought I would enjoy cleaning as much as I do now. Thanks again for all the great green cleaner recipes you sent my way to get me started.

For anybody out there wanting a soap that is gentle on your skin, but yet a powerhouse when it comes to cleaning. Then look no further.

Liquid Castile Soap by Mabels Miracles

I came across this liquid soap while surfing on Sustain Lane. My kids and I have allergies. I'm always looking for items to help us stay healthy and not trigger any health issues. I went to the Mabels Miracles website and really thought it was informative and down to earth. The product was all natural, no SLS, and had a higher level of olive oil than coconut oil. I ordered some product (laundry and the lemon castile) and waited for it to arrive. Service was fast, I had my products in a very short time. The lemon smelled fantastic - so refreshing.

With kids being kids, it didn't take long before I had to clean up the floor and had a pile of laundry to do as well. The product did exactly what it said it would do - in fact, the water was so dirty half way thru I had to empty it out and start with a fresh bucket. I did not realize that my other floor cleaner was leaving a residue. My floor no longer "squeaked" when I walked on it. Yay!!! I had a really clean floor. Now the laundry, I did follow the suggestions that Mabels Miracles had on their website for laundry boosters (borax and baking soda). I added some of that to my washing machine. Then I added the 2 ounces of the Mabel's Miracles liquid Castile soap (recommended amount). I was unsure if only 2 ounces were going to work. Well it did fantastic job. Would I recommend it - oh yeah!. Best of all, my kids and I had no reactions. It was safe for us. Bad news for the older of the kids tho - they now have "cleaning" chores using the soap.

Great service!

Ordered the soaps, and they arrived, in perfect condition, long before I expected them.

Packaging was excellent... to the extent that the dispenser caps were shipped in their own little zip-lock bag... I imagine that if they were shipped on the bottles, they could possibly flip open in transit.

The soaps feel pleasant to the touch, and are pleasantly, subtly scented... and the "unscented" version truly is.

Thank you... a great product, well-represented, and exceptional service.

Cheers!

Bill
