Lotus Garden of Vege Delights

I was introduced to the Lotus Garden last week, by my daughter, who was seeking to find us a restaurant we hadn't been to before that has a vegetarian menu, with a selection of gluten-free dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant, though simple. They feature moving virtual waterfalls cascading on large back lit screens on both sides of the restaurant. We sat in a booth directly under one; not so real that I got wet. The hostess and waitress were very nice and attentive.

It was the first time I saw wheat-gluten itself as a meat substitute. I'll pass thank you...I ordered a wonderful faux-shrimp dish with fresh veggies, served with brown rice. My meal was delicately seasoned, even the rice, and everything was fresh. My only disappointment was that they did not have gluten-free soy sauce. But, after the first bite, I realized that I didn't need soy to enhance the taste.
