Sickly sweet -- nutritious?
I remember when Clif first started promoting Luna bars - free samples were handed out by the case at women's nightclubs in San Francisco back in 1999 or so -- the lemon zest flavor was so tangy and light and delicious, I quickly became a fan.
Well, that style of Luna bar faded away with the dot-bomb and Paige Hodel's Club Q nights... Luna bars were adjusted to meet more mainstream tastes and became overly sweet and just yucky. Not unlike my recent experiences with Clif Bars coated in sickly sweet icing -- Luna bars are suffering the same affliction.
How can I think of these as nutritious if even my sweet tooth hurts trying to eat them? No thanks, Clif - I'll stick to your raw Nectar bars or tasty Lara bars. I've got the biggest sweet tooth in town, but I don't need nearly as much sugary sweetness as Luna bars provide. There are just too many options out there to tolerate a bad bar!

Yay for Luna!
I tried this product because of the name. I really like the moon and anything associated with it. I tried a granola bar, which was actually pretty good. It had just the right amount of sweetness and the granola part was very crunchy :)
