A Literal Life Saver

A vet in Gilroy told us that our cat had a Mast Cell Tumor that could not be successfully removed and recommended chemotherapy, even though she said he'd be lucky to live 6 more months with the chemo. Between the fact that chemo didn't sound like we'd be doing our part to ensure the best quality of life for his time left (it would have made him even more sick by killing the good with the bad), and the fact that I would always get a second opinion for myself, I set out in search of a second opinion for him as well. I personally seek a balance of Western and Eastern medicine for my our health care, so I decided to give the same approach a try for him. I figured there was nothing to loose, since Western medicine had already said he was a lost cause. After much research into holistic vets, I came across Dr Wells. And thank God for that! So far, we and our cat have enjoyed an additional year and a half of wonderful life together. While our cat does not like the drive over Hwy 152 to get from Gilroy to Aptos, we fortunately don't have to go very often and he's always amazingly calm on the drive home, compared to the drive there. I contribute that to Dr Well's calming nature and the acupuncture. Yes, he let's her stick needles in him! In addition, her knowledge of Chinese Medicine and herbs has kept him a very happy and healthy kitty. It hasn't been a cure, but it's been close enough and we are thankful for every extra day we have with him. And thankful for doctors like Dr Wells.
