just the beginning for magnolia...

I stopped a couple of weekends ago on a rainy afternoon and it was pretty dead. Non-organic strawberries, wine, a few cheese stands, minimal veggies, some nice cut flowers... it felt sorta weak. But this past weekend, I came by a little earlier and the sun was out and so was the neighborhood. I picked up some delicious organic bing cherries for $4.50 /lb, a custom bouquet of freshly cut flowers for $10, some beautiful and sweet red onions and a couple of pastries from the local Magnolia Upper Crust Bakery for the rents. It's still a little small - could have more options, especially organic fruit (maybe I'm spoiled from SF), but it's still fairly new and I can see this thing growing to be huge! I heard kids running past me yelling "Yey! The farmers market!!"
