Paraben Free?

I purchased a Nature's Gate shampoo recently and noticed that among all the great natural ingredients, it also contains parabens. I'm not so excited about this, but maybe all the hype about parabens is insignificant? I would expect Nature's Gate to be more conscious about including these potentially harmful elements in its products.

70% certified organic ingredients, but too smelly

I bought this shampoo on sale at the Real Foods down the street from my apartment and now I know why (it was on sale) - the smell is just too over-powering for me. It works relatively well in terms of cleaning my hair, but the patchouli smell kinda takes over all the other great ingredients that I read on the back of the bottle (pomegranate, persimmon, rose, lavender, etc.) In this product Nature's Gate does not use any animal ingredients and the shampoo is biodegradable so you can take it backpacking with you if you want to wash your hair out in the wilderness. I don't think I'll buy this one again though.
