Paper comes from tree farms, not national forests.
Recycling paper is more expensive and more detrimental to the environment, as it uses a harmful chemical process.
If you are buying this to help the environment, congratulations you've actually succeeded in doing the complete opposite.
Good job.
Please, look up what I'm saying if you don't believe me.

Marcal has rebranded their Sunrise product line as Small Steps and is more clearly touting the fact that it's a 100% recycled paper (30% post-consumer) product. The quality of the product is excellent, the paper towel is strong and absorbent and, my favorite part, perforated at the 4-5 inch length so you use less by default. The roll itself is longer than average rolls on the shelf, so if you're conscientious about using them only when needed it will last a long time.
What especially impresses me about Marcal is their presence in stores that don't cater to the green-conscious crowd. They can compete on quality and value against non-green brands like bounty and scott. And store managers of such stores are willing to stock them and the other products in their line-up.
Gristede's NYC Prices: 2 Pack $4.49 (compare to 2 Pack 7th Gen. $4.99 or 2 Pack Bounty $6.49)
Luke's keywords: Papertowel Recycled Paper Post-Consumer
