Ham for the Holidays

One of our daughter's contributions to Christmas dinner was the ham...she arrived with a 7.5 lb "Martha Stewart Favorite Holiday Ham", a Kirkland Signature ham, in a reusable muslin bag. Martha suggests using the bag, after it's been washed and dried, to store linens, cookie cutters, serving utensils and other kitchen items. Lightly smoked with applewood chips, the ham comes fully cooked with the bone in. Simply reheat at 300-degrees until heated through to 140-degrees (about 2 hours). Martha Stewart supplies several recipes for two glazes and homemade split-pea soup. The ham has great flavor, and better yet, it's gluten free! Curing of the ham is done using water, sugar, sodium phosphate, sodium erythorbate and sodium nitrate. Martha Stewart Favorite Holiday Ham is sold for $3.99/lb at Costco.
