being picky... a bit sweet

the 52% cacao milk choco bar is too sweet for my blood and has soy industrial leftovers (lethicin)... also not certified fair trade. anyone can claim so and i'd like to believe but not be naive. on the positives it's a decent, occasional luxury item. fairly smooth. i've got to stop eating so many sweets!!!

I guess I should do a bit more research on the common ingredients in food. I didn't realize lethicin was soy industrial leftovers. Is it as bad as it sounds? more »

Great chocolate!

My 2 year old saw the animals on the packaging in the store so I decided to get some of it to try. It was very good! And I like the fact that it helps out an organization that is environmentally sound! Lots of different choices at our local Earth Fare!

I LOVE THIS CHOCOLATE

I will never by Hershey's Chocolate again. It's even better than Scharffenberger chocolate...and yes I had to Google Scharffenberger for the correct spelling.

deep forest mint is my favorite chocolate bar

I was first introduced to this chocolate at my office's snack time - yes, we have a mostly organic "snack time." It's incredible - so rich and creamy and minty! I wonder if it's because they source their cocoa from small family-owned properties and grown in natural shaded forests. This chocolate bar may cost you a bit more than that hershey's bar, but it's worth it. The passion and commitment of the people who run endangered species is so inspiring (you can read about them inside the cover) I dream of living on one of these farms and growing something that tastes as delicious as this.

Chocolate Bars that help endangered species

I have tried many chocolate bars...who has not!
These are by far the best tasting and 10% of the profits go to a good cause. We carry a wide variety of these in our store and our customers consider this brand the best.

And I hate chocolate!

I'm one of those rare people who actually doesn't like chocolate! But I give a lot of dinner parties and often have friends over, and everyone enjoys and praises the products of this company--and we've tried several types from light to dark, plain and with fruit and nuts. All have been tops.
The packaging is great, and the profit-sharing is perfect. What's not to like?
