Free informational website full of self-care tips for skin.
If you have any kind of skin care issue or question, take a look at this website, because your answer is probably here.
This is real-world information and real-world tips and techniques. I get impatient fast when I read about treatments and routines that I'm never going to be able to try or follow. MySkinBetter doesn't talk about salt rubs and mud packs. It tells you how to clean your skin, how often, and with what. You can also read about how your diet can be affecting your skin in ways that you might not have realized before.
MySkinBetter was created by a licensed acupuncturist when his daughter developed eczema and he wanted to find natural ways to treat her newborn skin. The results of this effort are clearly shown in the section on "Babies & Their Skin", which is full of excellent advice. If you have a baby with skin problems or you want to avoid them, read this.

I just checked out this site, and I was very impressed at how much information it conveyed in a relatively simple format. It is mostly straightforward, and as is the nature of a website intended for a general audience, doesn't delve too deep into any specific skin problems. However, for the layperson (myself included) it definitely has a few nuggets of wisdom we should all put into practice on a daily basis when dealing with our skin.
My favorite piece of advice: "The body is an amazing healing machine. Oftentimes it just needs some help in affecting its own healing. If you have a skin condition (which most likely you do if you are reading this), it simply does not make sense to continually bombard and challenge the body with more chemicals, fragrances, etc. Try to keep your skin care routine as simple as possible and give your skin a chance to take care of itself."
Site is simple, to the point, and very easy to navigate.
For those of you with perfect skin - don't go here. For those of you with really bad skin, it's no replacement for a dermatologist. For everyone else who can use a little help from someone more knowledgeable - check it out.

My Skin Better is a great resource for anyone with skin problems or an interest in taking better care of their skin. It is a site full of self-care tips for caring for your skin. It explains the underlying causes of many skin conditions and what you can do about them.
I created it after my daughter was born with eczema. As an acupuncturist / herbalist I wanted to avoid using any harsh medicines on my daughter if at all possible. I learned everything I could about caring for the skin naturally. This site is my way of sharing what I have learned with others to help them avoid the suffering caused by skin problems. It is a free and non-commercial site. We are not selling anything there, just sharing what we know.
There are pages on: products, diet, washing, the mind, the environment and babies and their skin. If you want to know more about and take better care of your skin, you will find something useful on this site.
I am completely biased about this site, because I created it. I hope you will like it as much as I do. Please leave us some feedback or write your own review on Sustainlane to help us spread the word and help others with their skin too.
