No VOC house paint.

I painted my kitchen using Mythic semi gloss as the first coat and eggshell on top to give it a sheen instead of a gloss. The paint worked wonderfully and there was absolutely no odor. I've found that a minimum of 2 coats must be used for smooth even coverage but it's well worth every penny.
Mythic sounds like the best paint on the market, since it's free of VOCs, boasts legendary performance, and best of all comes in the range of paints you'd expect for both indoor and outdoor use, with a fan deck full of colors anyone would love. But the catch is - in a city as big as Chicago - I cannot find a dealer listed on their website?! That's surprising, but I hope it shows up on store shelves soon!
I'm changing my star rating based on the comments below. This is owned by the same holding company as American Pride and NOTE that the colorants affect the VOC rating.

Someone mentioned that Mythic is the same as American Pride. If that is the case, then this is the best example of greenwashing I've ever seen! American Pride was NEVER sold as non-toxic and human friendly. It was... more »
