The President-elect reiterated his 'New Green Deal' plan yesterday.

President-elect Barack Obama is, so far, staying on message...

In a talk at George Mason University yesterday, Obama again pledged to quickly implement a plan that saves or creates three million jobs by increasing alternative energy production, weatherizing government buildings and Americans' homes, and investing in new infrastructure, science, research and technology.

Obama told the crowd that his American Recovery and Reinvestment plan isn't just new policy but a whole new approach to today's challenges.

It seems Obama's plan has plenty of support in the new, democrat-controlled Congress, which opened on Tuesday. At a forum held Wednesday by the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Congress will move quickly to implement the plan.

At a news conference Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada said the recovery and reinvestment plan is the number priority for the new Congress.
