The best bike store in town !

These folks are great. They offer really good advice to riders and have a super service department. They live and breath bikes. One employee has dozens of vintage bikes in his collection. They were the first commercial PhotoVoltaic installation in town and are far beyond others in their committment to the environment.

Old Town Bike Shop still doing the right thing after over three decades

This Colorado Springs bike shop is a mainstay, now located in a refurbished building on South Tejon street. Originally started just a few miles away in 'Old Town' Colorado Springs, the shop sets a standard for eco-friendly living. Known for their high standard of repair expertise, the mechanics use 'green' cleaning solvents. Although there is a compressor, it's not uncommon to see a manual floor pump in use to inflate tires. The shop augments it's electricity demands with a sizeable investment in solar electricity panels. Knowledgeable, friendly staff don't push customers into a sale, but their enthusiasm for the lifestyle wins many converts. They model a green lifestyle with many staff members who commute by bicycle to work as much as possible. Their current inventory which serves mountain bikers and road racers among others, includes commuter-friendly models with fenders, lights, and cargo carrying capability.
