More on Organic Cotton...

Do you really think that all those pesticides magically disappear when the cotton is harvested and turned into a product?

Studies have shown that there are some residual chemicals -- and certainly, some products like sheets and clothing, are washed and cleaned repeatedly and any of those residuals decrease over time. But what about something you put inside your body? Do you think conventionally grown cotton is safe?

I know - the really "eco" way to go is a Diva cup or something that doesn't generate waste. Though these are applicator free (cutting down on waste), I hate the little plastic wrappers on these tampons but I honestly rely on and trust Natracare to provide me with a product that is environmentally friendly and healthy to use.

I can honestly recommend this product - and hope you'll consider switching to organic cotton!

Natracare for Women's health

These guys come without those wasteful applicators. Chlorine free, organic all cotton. It is so important to keep dioxins (carcinogens, mutagens) away from this part of your body! Natracare products are compostable, being of natural materials and plastic free. The major downside to not being a European Natracare consumer: it is manufactured in Sweden and Germany and is most likely airfrieghted for purchase everywhere else. On the other hand, Seventh Generation women's products are manufactured in Canada. (a bit closer). On the other hand, Seventh Generation uses plastic packaging for its pads, the bag they come in as well as individually wrapped with plastic, while Natracare uses all natural materials even in its packaging. . . . sigh
