The only molasses to use..

There isn't much I can say that Abendigo hasn't already said -- Plantation blackstrap molasses is the only option when it comes to baking. It has a really good, rich flavor and it is organic. Unlike corn syrup, molasses is actually nutritious - a single tablespoon of Plantation Blackstrap Molasses provides at least 20% of the US RDA for calcium, iron and potassium.

juju molasses

If I'm going to be cooking with molasses, chances are I'll use organic Plantation Blackstrap. So many molasses brands out there are like cough syrup and loaded with artificial sweeteners. Not this stuff. I guess blackstrap comes from the third and final pressing of the sugar cane, basically the bottom of the barrel if you know what I mean, and you get this rich, bitter, thick, mineral-laden wonder that's a great source of iron and calcium. I love this brand. It's also unsulphured which means it's lighter and cleaner regarding its sugar-cane overtones.
