Agave is 25 times sweeter than sugar so less is needed to have the same desired effect. In addition, this syrup mixes well with liquids and yogurt. It doesn't taste as odd as more processed sugar alternatives like aspartame (NutraSweet) and sacharine(Sweet 'n low), which are rumored to cause major illnesses such as cancer. It's also suitable for baking unlike aspartame which is not suitable for baking because aspartame breaks down when heated and loses its sweetness. In my personal experience trying white sugar alternatives, I have been frustrated with my ability to mix honey or Sucanat into cold beverages and yogurt, but agave totally does the trick. One downside is that agave is considerably more expensive than white sugar.
ps. The Wholesome Sweetener website says this product has a low glycemic number (39) and is good for people who have diabetes or people who are trying to watch their sugar intake.

This agave nectar is very sweet, albeit not as sweet as the raw version of the same name. This tastes great in coffee and tea and no need to fear a layer of sugar at the bottom of your mug!
But if you like things sweet go for the raw version.
