877-899-2468I bought from Organic Bouquet because of a positive mention here on SustainLane. I would have been satisfied with the EXTRA COST if the flowers were as great as described, but they were not. They were decent, nice roses, but not worth the $50+ price tag. The box said they were from Ecuador, so the idea of organic may be negated by the long shipping. I bought some truffles to go along with the flowers as an add- on. They were dry and old. There was also a Green Saver coupon here that said they would include a small box of chocolates with every order with no code or coupon needed through Valentines. They did not.
I am not griping, though it sounds that way. This is the first negative review I have written, but it is my real experience. Next time I will buy a few dozen at Whole Foods and it will cost less and I'll still be able to buy GOOD chocolate. I would not recommend this experience for others.

My boyfriend always orders me roses for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, etc. The thing is, I usually think they are a waste of money because flowers usually look totally dead by day two. The red roses he sends me from Organic Bouqet usually last about a week, and smell amazing! Co-workers told me they could smell it down the hall. I know they are significantly more expensive, and very pricey for something that will be gone in a week, but if you're going to send someone flowers, these are the best you can send.

I have always kinda hated Valentines Day because there is really no room for spontaneity - girls expect flowers and/or chocolate. I have always been into much more personal, meaningful gifts, but for this one holiday I have always just kinda gone the old school route because it's what makes my girl happy and that's really what it's all about right? So this Valentines Day, I decided that even if I had to go with the old standards, I could at least put a personal spin on it by getting her organic, local roses. I ordered the 1 dozen long stemmed roses and a vase from Organic Bouquet and they were NOT cheap (I won't specify the price cuz she reads this, but they were pretty significantly more expensive than regular roses)
They were worth it. I had them delivered to her office so she could show it off to all her co-workers, and everyone agreed that they were by far the prettiest of all the roses anyone in the office had received. The real benefit though - they actually smelled like roses. Most roses don't really smell anymore because they have been genetically engineered to look perfect and last for a long time and diluted with pesticides. These roses smelled - she told me people would come into her office from down the hall and ask what smelled so nice.
Final word: an expensive gift, not for your average bouquet, but if you really want to impress and organic/local is important to you, I highly recommend Organic Bouquet.

After writing this I realized how disappointed I was with the experience and called them. They were kind enough to refund the bad chocolates. They also explained that some of their flowers are from California, so that... more »
